Some time back, I started working for Heart2Heart Outreach, a nonprofit organization that helps the fastest and most vulnerable population in the country – SENIORS!
Too many aging parents and grandparents in our community are spending their days alone — no visits, no calls, no hugs. Together, we can show up for them.
I can’t tell you the number of needs and the loneliness amongst senior adults.
In the month of May, I’m stepping in to help the nonprofit I work for fundraise.
I read something recently that encouraged me as I felt helpless in thinking about fundraising for our 15th anniversary giving month of May.

I think this is doable if we all give together, we can make an impact. I asked our Executive Director to break it down for me. Here’s what he said.
“Recently, Heart2Heart applied for funding to help over 100 seniors facing eviction notices or utility shutoffs. Each of them will hopefully receive a $500 emergency voucher, but we know $500 is only a starting point.
It’s going to take a community of Champions to meet the real need.
That’s why this Giving Month of May, our goal is to be stronger together:
We must raise $20,000 in recurring monthly donations to keep this work going.
Here’s how people can help:”
- 100 Champions at $20/month
- 400 Champions at $50/month
- Or 200 Champions at $100/month
