Too many aging parents and grandparents in our community are spending their days alone — no visits, no calls, no hugs. Together, we can show up for them.
A couple weeks ago we met a sweet lady in her 80's by the name of Susan She lives alone in Lauderhill. Susan has little to no income and is struggling—not just to put food on the table, but to have a warm meal. Her mobility is limited, which means going to the grocery store or standing over a stove to cook a simple meal just isn’t possible. Most days, she goes without. And sadly, Susan’s story is not unique.
In South Florida, many seniors like Susan are facing heartbreaking realities:
- Struggling with serious health conditions
- Living with limited mobility
- Paying for rent or utilities
- Lacking basic necessities
- And most of all, facing it all alone
Many of these elderly neighbors have no family or friends to turn to. But with your help, that can change.
